All volunteers must participate in a 60 minute orientation. Please stop in to fill out your volunteer application and join our wonderful YMCA team.
Infant RockerSweetheart Daycare is looking for seniors to be volunteer as a "rockers." If you're a caring, compassionate person who can schedule time to visit the Sweetheart Infant Room and gently rock and soothe one of our enrolled infants, we need your help. Rocking is the only job you would be responsible for.Lifting is never required.Volunteers would sit in a rocker and an infant would be placed in their lap.
Tween event organizerDo you want to make sure tweens have a fun and safe environment to hang out? Volunteer for one of our Saturday Tween Nights.This is the tweens’ time for fun activities in the gym, pool and other areas.Also, choose from other fun Tween Events that include movie nights, game nights, Tween Camps and trips.
Tween Scene volunteerDo you want to make sure tweens have a fun and safe environment to hang out? Volunteer for our Tween Scene Mondays through Fridays.We play games, do arts and crafts, help with homework and just interact.
Maintenance volunteerDo you have the ability to fix different things?Do you like to get your hands dirty?With so many members there is always something to put back together.
Sports program assistantReliable adult mentors are very important to our youth members as they develop and grow.Choose an area of interest and participate in a youth sports program.Program volunteers may also provide assistance with the creation of teams, paperwork, phone calls, and other clerical duties associated with running numerous programs for hundreds of members.
Gym attendantGym attendants assist members with understanding our court schedule, facilitating games and activities, and monitoring free play for all ages.Referee
The Sports Department offers Youth, Teen, and Adult Basketball leagues, Volleyball Leagues, and much more.Line-judges, referees, scorekeepers, and umpires are a tremendous help to our staff and our program participants.
Fitness Center volunteerGreeting members, orienting them to the Fitness Center and showing them around the facility, locker rooms, schedules, and general fitness class information.
Swim instructor aideDo you love the water and working with children? Experience the joy of watching a child learn to swim and volunteer with one of our instructors as a Swim Instructor Aid.
Family Prime Time volunteerDo you like working with children ages 6 weeks –7 years old? Family Prime Time volunteers can come and snuggle with babies in the Infant Room or interact with our 2-7 year olds through song, stories and crafts in the Club Room.
Family Special Event volunteerVolunteer for Family Events such as Parents Night Out, Family Bingo, Healthy Kids Day, Family Fun Night and other fun Family Events. You will greet families, assist with set up, run games, demonstrate and help with crafts, and a variety of other fun activities! Have fun while helping our families too.
Family Holiday Event volunteerVolunteer for our Special Family Holiday Events such as Father/Daughter Dance, Breakfast With The Bunny, Mother/Daughter Tea, Halloween Party, Cookies With Santa & Santa’s Workshop. You will greet families, assist with set up, run games, demonstrate and help with crafts, and a variety of other fun activities! Have fun while helping our families too.
Family and Kids Enrichment Class volunteerAssist with children ages 3-12 with a variety of arts & crafts, while helping to expand their imaginations.Help with classes such as Superheroes, Princess, American Girl, and other exciting classes.
Senior Social organizerAre you a social butterfly and enjoy talking with others? Do you have a hidden talent to share? We are looking for volunteers to get involved in making a great day for our seniors at our monthly senior socials.
