getting serious about your writing? go PRO!
The DWC PRO program is where I began to look at my poetry with a critical eye; without it, I would not have developed a necessary faith in my work.
--Jessica Cuello, 2010 graduate of DWC PRO and author of the chapbooks Curie (Kattywompus Press, 2011) and By Fire (forthcoming from Hyacinth Girl Press).
DWC PRO is a two-year intensive program for poets, fiction writers and non-fiction writers who are serious about honing their craft and growing their careers. Our program is designed especially for writers who will benefit from focused study--the same kind offered by an MFA program, but without relocation or high cost.
As a DWC PRO student, you will take advanced courses, receive individual feedback, and work with established writers who will mentor you as you complete a manuscript that is publication-ready. For students with particularly demanding "real life" schedules, a three-year program track is available.
To apply for the program, students must complete an application and submit a work sample, which will be reviewed by program faculty. The postmark deadline for applications (for Fall 2014 enrollment ) is July 15th.
